Terms & Conditions

All our locomotives are designed to provide you with hundreds & hundreds of trouble free running hours.

However, as with all mechanical and / or electronic items, things do on the odd rare occasion go wrong or fail.

With this in mind and the confidence we have in our products, we include in your purchase a 12 month warranty.

Warranty outlined below.

  • This warranty commences on the day you take possession of your purchase.

 

  • All manufacturing processes are covered.

EXCLUSIONS

 

 

  • DO NOT put grease, oil, Vaseline or any form of lubricant on to the motor set gears (white plastic gear) as this will cause grit and other objects to stick to them and may cause the gears to loose teeth.
  • All steel gearing, As there are two metal surfaces coming together, we recommend that you use WD dry PTFE spray, we do inform the  customer on collection or delivery. 

 

  • Any attempts to modify any part without contacting us will render this warranty nul and void.

 

  • Please be aware that the control hand set comes with a metre long cable attached to it, make sure this cable does not get trapped or run over by the driving truck as this is not covered in the warranty.

 

  • Customers own wiring is NOT covered in the warranty.

 

  • Accidental damage, misuse, batteries & battery charging, scrapes and scratches are not covered by this warranty.

 

  • Customer is responsible for all costs and carriage of models or parts to and from AME

 

 

  • Consumables
  • The wear on the control pot inside the handset, The plastic Delrin gear on the back of the drive wheel due to grit and other debris being thrown about and the batteries are NOT covered by our warranty.

 

TRANSPORTING

  • DO NOT transport locomotive with the batteries inside it.

 

  • Always transport your loco with adequate protection from damage, a great deal of damage can be caused by heavy objects moving around.

 

  • Never open the controller to full power from a standing start, as this may damage the controller, always move off like a real loco, nice and steady, increasing your speed steadily.

 

 

You should never attempt to move or lift a large loco on your own,

always have somebody to help you.
